Perfect. Because Society 512 isn't your typical senior portrait experience, and it's definitely not your typical ambassador team.
Think creative photo shoots, unexpected locations, new friendships, a little adventure, and plenty of opportunities to try something you've never done before.
Some days we'll have a plan. Other days, we'll see where a little spontaneity takes us. Either way, the idea is to have a ridiculously fun time creating something together.

THE CAMERA
I'VE NEVER BEEN MUCH OF ONE TO SETTLE FOR GENERIC
I'm Richard, and that's me in the middle of a street in Miami, apparently under the impression that traffic laws are more like suggestions when there's a photograph to be made. Fortunately, one of my senior's moms was there to document the evidence. After all these years behind a camera, I still love thinking outside the box and coming up with ideas that are a little out of the ordinary.
And that's a big part of why I created Society 512. I wanted to bring together a group of creative teens who enjoy trying new things, exploring interesting places, and making photographs that are anything but ordinary. Some arrive with a hundred ideas of their own, and others discover a creative side they didn't even know they had.
We'll dream up shoots, experiment with different looks, occasionally change plans at the last minute, and probably find ourselves in a few places nobody expected. I'll take care of the photography and direction, but I want the team to bring their own personalities and ideas into the mix.
Because some of my favorite photographs have come from the moments nobody planned.

Getting started is pretty simple. First, get your name on the invitation list. From there, you'll have an opportunity to learn more about the team, meet me, ask questions, and see what I've got planned for the upcoming season. No commitment required just to find out what it's all about.

It all starts with a little curiosity. Add your name to the Society 512 invitation list, and you'll be among the first to hear about the upcoming season and receive an invitation to our informational meeting. No applications, auditions, or commitments at this stage. Just a chance to see if Society 512 might be your kind of thing.
Attend the Society 512 Meeting
This is where everything starts coming together. You'll get to meet me, hear about the creative shoots and adventures I'm planning, learn what's included, and get answers to all those questions you and your parents probably have. Both students and a parent are required to attend, and there's absolutely no obligation to join.

Don't get left Out
Society 512 is a small, invitation-only team, and there are only so many spots available each season. After the meeting, you'll have the information you need to decide whether you'd like to be considered. If it sounds like your kind of adventure, we'll talk about the next steps and hopefully have a whole lot of fun ahead of us.

Society 512 is a creative photography team built around a whole lot more than having your picture taken. Think individual portraits, creative and themed photo shoots, sessions with friends, interesting locations, and the occasional adventure that takes us somewhere completely unexpected.
It's a chance to experiment with different styles, explore new places, meet new people, and be part of a community where everyone's personality brings something different to the table. And while the photography is a big part of it, so are the friendships, the experiences, and all the memories you'll make along the way.

This isn't about showing up, smiling on command, and calling it a day. Your individual portrait session is a chance to create photographs that feel like you, with plenty of room for personality, style, and a little creative experimentation.
Let's Get Creative
Themed shoots, unexpected concepts, interesting wardrobe, and ideas that occasionally start with, “Okay, hear me out…” Some shoots will be carefully planned. Others might take an entirely different direction once we get started.
Something Worth Remembering
From individual portraits to collaborative shoots with the team, the goal is to create photographs you'll love looking back on, along with a few stories that might be just as memorable.

The Society 512 Crew
One of the best parts of Society 512 is getting to know people you might never have met otherwise. Different schools, different personalities, different interests, and a shared willingness to try something new. Who knows? You might even make a friend or two along the way.
Bring Your Friends
Because sometimes the people who know you best are the ones you want in the pictures with you. Your friends session is a chance to bring your own crew together for photographs, laughter, and probably a little chaos. The fun kind, of course.
Don't Forget the Family
Yes, your family gets in on the action, too! Society 512 includes a family portrait session, because as much as this experience is about you, those people who've been cheering you on all these years deserve a place in the pictures, too.

Not Your Average Backdrop
Interesting streets, unexpected corners, unusual places, and locations you might never have considered for a photo shoot. Sometimes the best setting is the one nobody would have thought to look at twice.
A Little Spontaneity Never Hurt Anyone
Well, probably. Some of our shoots will be planned down to the last detail, while others might involve a last-minute idea, an unexpected detour, or someone saying, “Wait, we HAVE to stop here!”
Who Knows Where We'll End Up?
Every season brings new ideas and possibilities, including occasional opportunities for destination shoots and adventures outside Austin. I can't promise where the road will take us, but I can promise I'll be looking for interesting places to make photographs along the way.
