Below are answers to common questions regarding senior, teen, child, family, destination, and nonprofit portrait sessions.

Booking & Planning

Q. How far in advance should we book?

A. Senior and destination sessions often book several months in advance, especially during peak seasons. Teen, child, and family sessions typically require several weeks’ notice.

Early planning allows for thoughtful location selection, wardrobe coordination, and optimal scheduling.

Q. Do you offer consultations before booking?

Yes.

Planning conversations are a core part of the experience. Sessions are designed intentionally, and consultation ensures alignment before photography begins.

Q. What time of day do sessions take place?

A. Most sessions are scheduled around optimal natural light — typically early morning or late afternoon/early evening depending on season and location.

Lighting is one of the most important factors in creating refined portraits.

Session Experience

Q. How many images do you take?

A. A typical senior or teen session may involve photographing 1,000+ images. These are professionally culled to approximately 200 curated selections presented at a private reveal appointment.

From there, families select their final favorites for artwork and albums.

Child and family sessions are structured similarly, with image volume adjusted based on session scope.

Q. Do you help with wardrobe selection?

Yes.

Wardrobe direction is discussed during the planning phase to ensure cohesion with location and overall aesthetic. Professional hair and makeup are highly recommended for senior and teen sessions.

Q. How many outfits are we allowed

A. For seniors and teens I allow for 3 outfits. For children 2 outfits. And for families one outfit.

Q. What if someone feels uncomfortable in front of the camera?

Clear direction and guided posing are provided throughout every session. My process is structured to create comfort and confidence naturally.

Products & Digital Files

Q. How long before we get to see our images from our session?

A. Typically I will send a few proofs from our shoot withing 1-3 days. Next, it takes about 1-2 weeks for prepare for your selection and ordering appointment.

Q. How long does it take to receive our order?

A. Albums, wall art and prints take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for processing, shipping and delivery.

Q. Do you provide digital files?

Portrait sessions are designed as a guided, product-based experience. Images are selected during a private reveal appointment and crafted into albums and wall artwork.

Web-sized sharing images are included with purchased portraits.

Full-resolution digital files are not offered.

Q. Why don’t you offer full-resolution digital downloads?

The focus of the experience is to create finished artwork designed to last. Albums and wall portraits ensure images live beyond screens and social media feeds.

This approach maintains quality control and preserves the integrity of the final product.

Destination Sessions

Q. Do you travel for sessions?

Yes.

Destination sessions are available for seniors and families and require advanced planning. Travel fees are quoted separately based on location.

Nonprofit Work

Q. Are you available for nonprofit photography?

A. Yes.

I photograph local and international nonprofit initiatives with a focus on dignity, cultural awareness, and strategic storytelling. Availability depends on project scope and scheduling.
