MY APPROACH
MY APPROACH
IDENTITY-DRIVEN SENIOR PORTRAITS WITH REFINED, EDITORIAL INFLUENCE.
Senior Year Deserves More Than a Template
There’s a difference between senior portraits that look polished and portraits that feel like a true reflection of who someone is at this moment in their life.
Senior year is layered. Confident in some areas. Still growing in others. Fully themselves — and still becoming.
I don’t approach sessions with a formula or a trend checklist. I’m not interested in recreating what everyone else is doing this year. My goal is to create imagery that reflects who your senior actually is — not who they think they’re supposed to be in front of a camera.
Because this season doesn’t repeat.
Identity Over Imitation
Every senior walks into a session differently. Some are naturally expressive. Some are reserved. Some are leaders. Some are observers.
My role is not to change that — it’s to recognize it and guide it.
We plan intentionally. Wardrobe is thoughtful. Locations are chosen with purpose. The pacing of the session matters. But none of those things override personality.
When a senior feels seen instead of staged, confidence shows up differently. And that’s what makes the images lasting.
Editorial, Without the Pressure
I’m drawn to clean composition, intentional light, and refined framing. There’s an editorial influence in how I photograph — but that doesn’t mean stiff or overly posed.
I guide when direction builds confidence. I step back when authenticity takes over.
Your senior won’t feel like they’re performing. They won’t be left wondering what to do. And they won’t be rushed through a production-style experience.
The result is imagery that feels elevated, but still honest.
Structure Creates Confidence
Most seniors don’t arrive fully comfortable in front of a camera. That’s normal.
Preparation changes everything.
We talk through wardrobe in advance. We choose locations that align with personality and tone. We create a flow that allows space to settle in rather than forcing moments.
When a senior feels prepared, they relax. When they relax, they become more fully themselves. That’s when the images shift from “nice” to meaningful.
This Is for Them — and for You
For the senior, this experience is about identity, confidence, and marking a milestone.
For parents, it’s about preservation.
You’ve watched them grow into who they are. You’ve seen the quiet changes — the maturity, the independence, the confidence building in layers.
Senior year feels long in the moment. And then suddenly, it isn’t.
My approach honors both perspectives. It allows your senior to feel ownership of the experience while creating artwork that holds this season still for you.
If This Resonates
If you value intention over trends.
If you want imagery that feels refined but genuine.
If you care about documenting who they are — not just what they look like.
We’ll likely work well together.
